FAQ

  • What if I don’t feel well when I get to the event?

    • McCormick Ranch has dedicated special services staff who will be able to address any concern and direct to additional medical attention if needed.

  • How often are the facilities cleaned?

    • The McCormick Ranch has increased the frequency of all public spaces (restrooms, handrails, entrances, exits, catering, etc.) to a minimum of four (4) times a day.  They are also using hospital-grade cleaning solutions on all surfaces.

  • What is available to me to keep good hygiene while at the event?

    • Hand sanitizer will be available in all public areas including front desk, reception, restrooms, etc. as well as in all meeting spaces, boardrooms, and tradeshow areas. Weather and location permitting, the McCormick Ranch will be leaving doors/windows open to allow for easier access and the avoidance of hand contact with these surfaces.

  • What will be different on location at the event?

    • There will be additional signage and personnel available to address any concerns you may have.  Signage will be in all public areas reminding of good hygiene practices including hand washing, coughing/sneezing into your elbow and other common-sense practices.

  • Is the event going to be structured differently?

    • The general construct of the event will remain the same.  There will be a few larger gatherings mostly around mealtimes and during keynote addresses.   The boardrooms will remain small by design. We ask that individuals use good judgement when congregating with others and any individual not feeling well excuse themselves and notify a MIDMRKT or hotel staff member.

  • Should I be limiting contact with other individuals?

    • According to government guidance Covid-19 is not an airborne illness and is contracted among individuals through droplets (sneezing, coughing etc.).   Individuals should use good hand washing techniques and wipe down surrounding surfaces if necessary. We encourage everyone to leverage, where applicable, technology as well including the portal.  If you are not comfortable shaking hands kindly let the other party know and this may be common so don’t feel uncomfortable about it.

  • What happens if I need to leave the event early?

    • Please contact a member of the MIDMRKT team. If your early departure is due to not feeling well please alert a MIDMRKT team member and/or hotel staff for proper procedures.

  • What happens if the situation deteriorates or there is a health emergency during the event?

    • MIDMRKT and the McCormick Ranch (part of Hyatt) are continuously monitoring all communications from the CDC and local/state health officials.  We will promptly notify all attendees should different actions or behaviors be warranted. Our collective priority is your safety and well-being

In addition, the CDC recommends these everyday preventive actions which we will be following at the event as well:

● Stay home when you are sick

● Avoid close contact with people who are sick

● Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth

● Avoid shaking hands and other forms of casual contact

● Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash

● Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe

● Follow the CDC’s recommendations for using a face mask:

  1.  The CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a face mask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.
  2. Face masks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others.
  3. The use of face masks is also crucial for health workers and people who are taking care of someone in close settings (at home or in a healthcare facility).
